The Urban Cruiser Taisor is a badge-engineered model based on the Maruti Fronx. It gets minor design changes, although the interior and equipment list remain unchanged. The Taisor carries forward the 90hp, 1.2-litre petrol-engine mated to 5-speed manual and AMT gearboxes as well as the 100hp, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine mated to 5-speed manual or a 6-speed AT gearbox, the latter currently being the only turbo-petrol in Toyota’s lineup in India. The 1.2-litre engine is also available with CNG. The Taisor is available in five trims – E, S, S+, G and V – and costs Rs 22,000 – Rs 25,000 more than the Fronx, depending on the variant.
