The BMW i5 is the latest generation of the 5 series sedan in pure electric guise. It has come to India in its sporty M60 guise with a power output of 601hp and a 0-100kph time of just 3.8 seconds. With a starting price of Rs 1.2 crore (ex showroom) it costs considerably less than its bigger sibling the i7, and when you factor in the performance on offer, it makes for excellent bang for your buck. The BMW 5 Series EV has gone on sale before the ICE version, which is expected to come to India in stretched LWB guise.
