The Bolero looks old because it is. On the inside, you’ll find digital instruments but there’s no hiding the Bolero’s vintage. Flawed ergonomics, flat seats and cramped seating in the second and third rows also make the Bolero’s cabin far from inviting. The Bolero is now only available with the 76hp 1.5-litre, three-cylinder mHawk diesel engine, but it's a big improvement on the aged 2.5 diesel from before. Low-speed responses are decent and engine refinement is impressive for a utilitarian vehicle like this. The Bolero’s ride is quite level for a utility vehicle; but high-speed manners are way off modern standards.
